Painted poems: 7:22 am on the top deck of the houseboat. California sweetness. The sun’s shining through the window of the studio, you’re eating toast. 3 minutes after midnight, riding your bike after reading a book at the bar. Prospect Park is quiet yet singing. You remember how easy it is to make yourself laugh. 8:32 pm, two minutes into your holiday party. An empty room turns full. Glasses of wine overflowing. First on to the table and then on to the rug, and you don’t know how you fit this much love into your 500 sq ft apartment. These moments and feelings string together to form our lives. What does it look like when we record a scent as texture, a sound as a color, and a taste as a pattern? Times of Day are tiny poems transcribed onto paper.
